A Weekend in Dallas: Recapping the 2026 Data Center Open

The Data Center Open came to Texas this spring, and one day wasn’t going to cover it.

Things kicked off Sunday, May 17, with a welcome reception at The Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa in Frisco. Guests arriving from across the country got their first chance to catch up before the competition started, and the room filled quickly with industry-leading developers, hyperscalers, contractors, and partners who spend most of the year connected by email and project calls. The evening continued with a client appreciation reception at Cigars International.

Monday belonged to golf. Registration opened at 8:00 AM at Gleneagles Country Club in Plano, with a shotgun start at 10:00. More than 240 golfers took to the course, making this the largest Data Center Open to date. The day included premium swag, from Sun Mountain travel bags to Straight Down and Greyson apparel, along with catered meals, feature holes, and raffle prizes, with WWMC volunteers working throughout to keep play moving and the experience seamless. A reception dinner followed at 4:00 PM, and the group closed out the evening at III Forks Steakhouse in Frisco.

By the end of it, the tournament had raised $150,000 for PGA HOPE, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being of veterans and active duty military through golf. WWMC employs several veterans, and the organization’s mission is one we’re proud to stand behind.
